Solar Installation was founded in 2008 in Austin, Texas, by two electricians who saw the early promise of residential solar. At the time, most homeowners still viewed solar as experimental and expensive. We set out to change that by focusing on three principles that still guide us today: honest recommendations, meticulous workmanship, and clear communication at every step.
Our first projects were modest rooftop systems for friends and neighbors. Word spread quickly because we refused to oversize systems or push unnecessary equipment. Customers appreciated that we treated their roofs and electrical systems with the same care we would give our own homes.
As demand increased, we expanded our team with NABCEP-certified designers, licensed electricians, and project managers who share our commitment to quality. Today we serve residential and commercial clients across multiple states while keeping decision-making local and accountable.
We have completed more than 4,200 installations ranging from compact 4 kW residential arrays to multi-megawatt commercial rooftops and carports. Every project is engineered for the specific roof structure, shading conditions, and energy goals of the property owner.
